My 2nd Home - 909

I can't talk about mountain biking without discussing my favorite place on earth...Hereford 909. I am lucky to live within 15 minutes of this wonderful MTB paradise. Being that I love the trails I go on, I was hesitant to explore. However, this year, I've found many more wonderful trails. It just keeps getting better and better!

I realize I must branch out some more. This summer, I hope to do a tour of all the trails within an hours distance of my house. What else is a teacher to do with her summer? I must hit up Ninham and hopefully explore Blue Mountain some more. I'll be checking out Tymor Park and Magnetic Mines soon. Stewart Buffer Zone is on the list, too! I feel like my friends that have kids though...will they ever love their next child as much as they love their first? We shall see!

The Love Story

I'm not sure how it happened but sure am glad it did. I've owned a mountain bike for just about a decade, but it was only in the past few years that I developed a passionate love affair with the sport. It all started when Coconut first came into my life. Coconut is known as a Specialized Safire Comp to most people. To me, she is the Lovely Coconut. After meeting her, I wanted to be with her everyday. Later in the season, Coconut told me she rather not be taken on any more downhill adventures. I respected her wishes and purchased Stinky. Stinky's formal name is Kona Stinky. I prefer to call him by his last name. Yes, Stinky is a male; Coconut is a female. Both Coconut and Stinky have taught me so much in the past 1.5 years. They have also brought me to beautiful places. It is these places and adventures I hope to share in this blog.
